While in Mestia we were taken care of in a most motherly fashion by Nino. She fed us the local Svan cuisine, did our laundry, drove us around and called the police when we were caught in the storm.
This is her organic garden from which she cooks. She also makes her own yogurt and cheese.
This is Nino on the far right, with friends.

Nino seemed friendly at the beginning when we wanted accommodation without meals. The next morning she told us to leave because she got some other tourists who wanted meals which made a better business for her. Other people we met in Mestia had similar experience with Nino. It seems that she doesn't care as much as in 2009. My bed collapsed (75 kg), it turned out that someone had tried to fix it with nails - unsuccessfully. The toilet door does't lock. You would need a door guard :)
We met in a party bathroom and since then have been roaming around, searching only for the best things in life. We are spoiled and critical, but our snobbery comes from the heart. If you find something good, drop us a line.
